Brother’s “Introduction Tour of new GT-3 Series”

26.03.2012

Europe – many trade fair visitors swarmed the Brother booths at the shows around Europe in February. "We did a lot of things to introduce this new printer in the markets in Europe and our schedule was tough. We had six exhibitions in February alone and reached so many interested customers who all confirmed that Brother’s new garment printer series would be a leading innovation in the  field of digital direct to garment printing," said Heiner Rupperath, Product Manager for Industrial Printing Machines at Brother.

First, we started at TecStyle Visions in Stuttgart from 2nd until 4th February 2012 with a new Brother booth concept. The people saw the GT-361 and GT-381 machines working all day long and with fantastic print results. The visitors were highly impressed by the high potential of our new inks showing a brighter and wider colour range. The introduction of the new GT-3 Series and the successfull demonstrations during the fair were highly appreciated by all dealers and distributors. In their opinion the new GT-3 Series will be a successful new product in 2012 and they already placed many orders for the new printer.

The following weekend we moved the two machines to Lyon for the Communiquez Textil exhibition (7th until 9th February 2012).Then they went to Spain for the ExpoReclam Expo in Madrid (14th until 16th February 2012) and the international well established FESPA 2012 in Barcelona (21st until 24th February 2012). A good thing at FESPA 2012 was that the main garment printer manufacturers were located next each to other so that the customers had the possibility to get print samples of their   design by several different printers. We can say that our machines made excellent and fast print jobs. "We had the possibility to see the differences on the spot and in live" said Heiner Rupperath and continued "we can be proud and confident to launch this new model.”

At the same time, we sent out other 2 machines to Hardenberg (7th until 9th February 2012) and right after that to the Printwear&Promotion in Birmingham (26th until 28th February 2012).

One stand-out feature of the new GT-3 Series is simultaneous one pass printing of white ink and CMYK color for faster productivity. Another one is their ability to print up to 1200dpi for clear crisp images and photographs. Their compact size and low cost appealed to a large group of visitors that in the past neither had the space nor funds for the previous model. Visitors were also excited about the new USB memory stick compatibility and the network connection ability.

The new GT-3 Series of digital garment printers is a line-up of three modular models allowing buyers to upgrade their model when their business grows. This series of three machines offers a CMYK-only printer (GT-341), a CMYK printer with two white print heads (GT-361), and a CMYK model with four white print heads (GT-381) for higher speed and performance. A user can start with the CMYK-only unit (GT-341) and if he wants to add the white ink feature after a while, he can easily upgrade his existing model rather than having to buy a new machine.

Additional advanced features include:

  • Up to 1200 dpi, allowing photographic quality printing
  • Up to eight industrial and original Brother print heads for faster throughput
  • One pass printing with CMYK and white ink printed simultaneously for higher productivity
  • USB memory stick compatibility to download designs without computer hookup
  • Ink cartridge system designed to provide consistent high-quality printing
  • Compact size for installation in versatile work places, e.g. storefronts or small locations
  • Simple user interface without the need for RIP software
  • Inks/Consumables certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1

Brother integrates their core technology and know-how into the new GT-3 Series of digital garment printers by manufacturing the printer and other critical components like print heads, controller and the software all by themselves. Coupled with the new genuine Brother® ink formulation this ensures a fully integrated system compared to that of many competitors who are merely ‘assemblers’ of garment printers. All in all this makes the new Brother GT-3 series of digital garment printers Brother’s finest product line so far.
